Q: What specific duties does your job position entail?
As a product manager, it’s my job to understand and know what technologies are feasible for packaging and be readily available to help the customer find the right solution for their business.

Q: Where did you work before your current position?
Before working at Waldner, I worked at a processing equipment manufacturer that produces equipment for making prepared food and ready-made meals. At this company, I provided thermal processing equipment.

Q: What made you want to work at Waldner North America?
Waldner continuously pushes the envelope with customized solutions, and I wanted to be a part of that driving force.

Q: What is the most exciting part of your job?
I love the “Aha!” moment from our customers when we offer a solution to an existing problem they have faced for a long time. A lot of times customers are unaware that Waldner has previously designed solutions for either the same problem or a similar problem they are currently facing.

Q: What piece of advice would you give to someone looking to work in your industry?
Find what you are passionate about and have fun!

Q: Do you have any hobbies or guilty pleasures outside of work?
I like spending time with my family and friends, cooking and dining out. In terms of cooking, I appreciate international dishes and am always open to trying new recipes. I also enjoy anything active, like playing volleyball and golf or going to watch a sports game with friends.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An entrepreneur. Being an entrepreneur allows you to take part in innovation and it’s about finding solutions for everyday problems. As a kid, I liked being challenged, having to think outside of the box and being creative, which is the core of entrepreneurship. It’s all about innovation!

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
My laptop, a golf club and a golf ball.

Q: What do you hope to achieve in the future with your career?
I hope to be a positive force in the changing food industry towards sustainability, nutrition and food security.
