Max Davis

Head of Customer Success

Maxwell (commonly known as Max) Davis oversees all aspects of client advocacy in the North American marketplace. Keep reading to learn more about Max’s position at Waldner North America (WNA) and his passions outside of the workplace.

Q: What specific duties does your job position entail?
Since I started at Waldner in September of 2019, I’ve worked extensively with clients from orders through production and helped ensure they maintain high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and met their production targets.

Q: Where did you work before your current position?
I’ve been in the food and beverage industry since high school. Before WNA, I worked at my family’s auction and asset liquidation company where we bought and sold food manufacturing businesses. More specifically, I was in the used packaging and processing equipment marketplace.

Q: What made you want to work at Waldner North America?
Working with your dad can be hard, and that’s what led me to WNA. I knew Waldner because my family’s company owned Waldner equipment, so I understood I wasn’t working with just anyone. Waldner has a strong reputation for making the absolute highest quality filling and sealing equipment and comes in at the highest end of the marketplace.

Q: What is the most exciting part of your job?
I love seeing the products in the marketplace, and it’s exciting to aid in the process of inception to concept to success. It’s so rewarding when I go to the supermarket and see products that were packaged on a piece of equipment that I helped fabricate from start to finish!

Q: What piece of advice would you give to someone looking to work in your industry?
You will see and talk to the same people over and again in this industry. Building relationships and ensuring that people know you will follow through with your promises is the most important thing.

Q: Do you have any hobbies or guilty pleasures outside of work?
My hobbies? I love hiking and camping. Guilty pleasures? I can’t keep candy in the house.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be Cal Ripken Jr., a baseball player that I was a big fan of as a kid. But in all seriousness, I wanted to play third base for the Pirates baseball team.

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A LifeStraw, a tent and a hatchet. If I wasn’t desperate for survival, I’d take a bottle of a Super Tuscan wine and a boombox.

Q: What do you hope to achieve in the future with your career?
Someday, I’d like to have more direct involvement on the manufacturing side of things. It would be really interesting to gain a different perspective regarding the company equipment and be able to expand my knowledge of all things Waldner.
